LG Refrigerator F29 Error Code

The condenser fan (located near the compressor at the back/bottom) is not running. This fan cools the compressor and condenser coils.

Common causes

  • Fan motor failure
  • Obstruction (dirt, lint, or ice)
  • Loose or damaged wiring
  • Defective main board

How to fix it

  1. Unplug refrigerator and access the condenser fan (usually behind a lower back panel).
  2. Check if fan spins freely; remove any dirt or ice blocking blades.
  3. Test for voltage at the fan connector while unit is on (requires multimeter).
  4. If no voltage, check wiring and control board.
⚠ When to call a pro: Call a technician if fan is free but no voltage, or if motor is defective and you cannot source a direct replacement.
