The oven temperature has exceeded the maximum allowed.

Common causes

  • Shorted temperature sensor
  • Control board relay stuck closed
  • Heating element welded closed

How to fix it

  1. Turn off the range at the breaker immediately.
  2. Let the oven cool.
  3. Test the temperature sensor (shorted? replace).
  4. If sensor is good, suspect control board or element relay.
