F30Warning

KitchenAid Oven/Range F30 Error Code

The oven temperature sensor is reading a short circuit.

Common causes

  • Faulty sensor (shorted)
  • Wiring short to ground
  • Control board failure

How to fix it

  1. Turn off power to the range.
  2. Disconnect the sensor and measure resistance; near 0 ohms indicates a short.
  3. Replace the sensor if shorted.
  4. If sensor is fine, inspect wiring for bare wires touching chassis.
⚠ When to call a pro: If sensor and wiring are good, the control board may be faulty; call a pro.
