F3Warning
KitchenAid Oven/Range F3 Error Code
The oven temperature sensor is reading as an open circuit.
Common causes
- Broken wire or connector to the sensor
- Failed sensor (open circuit)
- Control board issue
How to fix it
- Unplug the range or turn off the breaker.
- Inspect the sensor wires for breaks or burns.
- Check the sensor connector at the control board.
- Test sensor resistance; an open circuit (infinite ohms) means replace sensor.
- If wires are intact and sensor replaced, reconnect power.
⚠ When to call a pro: If the error returns after replacing the sensor, the control board likely needs replacement.
