Hotpoint Refrigerator F2 Error Code
The freezer temperature sensor (thermistor) is reading open (infinite resistance), causing temperature control issues.
Common causes
- Failed thermistor
- Broken wire to thermistor
- Connector issue
How to fix it
- Unplug refrigerator for 1 minute to reset.
- Check the freezer thermistor connector for corrosion or looseness.
- Measure resistance: should be about 5k-15kΩ at room temperature; if infinite, replace thermistor.
