The dishwasher has detected an overfill situation and has activated the drain pump to prevent water damage.
Common causes
- Faulty water inlet valve (stuck open)
- Defective pressure switch or float
- Clogged drain causing backflow
How to fix it
- Turn off water supply and power immediately.
- Manually drain any standing water from the tub.
- Check the float assembly at the bottom of the tub for free movement.
