Maytag Dishwasher F2E3 Error Code

The incoming water is too hot (above 140°F) or heater is overrunning.

Common causes

  • Water heater set too high
  • Faulty thermistor reading low
  • Control board stuck heater relay
  • Heater element shorted to ground

How to fix it

  1. Check water heater temperature; should be 120°F max.
  2. Let water run from sink to ensure temperature is stable.
  3. Test thermistor for correct resistance at known temperature.
