E5Warning
Haier Dishwasher E5 Error Code
The thermistor (temperature sensor) is either open circuit or shorted.
Common causes
- Faulty thermistor (failed open or short)
- Loose or corroded connector to thermistor
- Wiring harness damage
How to fix it
- Unplug dishwasher and locate the thermistor (usually on the sump or heater housing).
- Disconnect the thermistor and measure its resistance with a multimeter.
- Compare reading to expected values (typically 10-50 kohms at room temp).
- If out of range (open = infinite, short = near zero), the thermistor needs replacement.
⚠ When to call a pro: If thermistor tests good, the issue may be wiring or the control board; call a technician.
