Fisher & Paykel Refrigerator F8 Error Code
The evaporator fan (inside the freezer) is not running, leading to uneven cooling and potential frost issues.
Common causes
- Fan motor burned out or seized
- Fan blade obstructed
- Wiring or connector problem
- Control board not sending power
How to fix it
- Unplug the fridge and remove the freezer rear panel to access the evaporator fan.
- Check if the fan blade spins freely; clear any ice or debris.
- With a multimeter, check for voltage at the fan connector when the fridge is running (should be ~120V or ~12V depending on model).
- If there is no voltage, the issue may be the control board; if voltage is present but fan doesn't spin, replace the fan motor.
