Amana Oven/Range F9 Error Code
The oven temperature sensor circuit is shorted, causing incorrect temperature readings.
Common causes
- Faulty oven temperature sensor (RTD probe)
- Short circuit in wiring to sensor
- Moisture in sensor connector
How to fix it
- Unplug oven.
- Inspect sensor connector for moisture or damage.
- Measure resistance with multimeter (should be ~1090 ohms at room temp). If very low (near 0 ohms), sensor is shorted.
